Biomedical and Nucleonic Computer Systems Lab

Our main research topics:

  1. Functional imaging using:
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging techniques,
      • functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) [BOLD imaging],
      • perfusion (contrast agent induced),
      • diffusion tensor imaging (DTI),
      • spectroscopy,
    • Computed Thomography,
      • perfusion (contrast agent induced),
    • Optical tomography.
  2. Hardware and software for medical applications in:
    • Electrocardiography
      • registration and analysis of high resolution ECG,
      • database of ECG recordings,
    • Paradigm Designer – Software for design and presentation of stimulus in functional imaging (like fMRI) studies,
    • Hardware setup for presentation of stimulus and recording of patient response for fMRI consisting of,
      • Response Pad – patient response recording device,
      • Audio Stymulator – acoustic stimulus delivery device.
