The main goal of this project was creating software codec of JPEG 2000, which furthers effective transmission of static images via network. Particularly important think was feature of progressive image reconstruction in interactive work. Criterion of optimization was high performance and JPEG 2000 standard compatibility

    Java is the most dynamic developed programming language, which became very popular for developers of any kinds of applications.     JP2Codec is the main module of ths project. It is JPEG 2000 decoder, which implements Image I/O interface. Additional applications are HabibViewer (simple picture viewer), ImageComparer and JP2Database (network picture's database - still developed).
