Piotr Płoński

Welcome!

Smiley face I am a PhD student at Warsaw University of Technology, faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies, in Institute of Radioelectronics. My supervisor is prof.Krzysztof Zaremba.

My research is focused on artificial neural networks, data mining, and algorithms for physicists and biologists. I participate in Icarus experiment. There, I started to work on adaptation of Self Organising Maps for high accuracy classification. I'm also working on algorithm for reconstructing particles' tracks which start from initial vertex. I'm also involved in T2K experiment.

By taking part in Icarus, I developed few improvements for SOM learning:

For details, please see papers.

In my work, I'm using NetMaker. It is a free neural network designer and simulator. In my opinion, it is faster and gets much better minima than other neural networks toolboxes. I'm also using Matlab, R, C++.

I'm married to wonderful Ola, we have two sons Franek & Olek.
