Artur Przelaskowski received M.Sc., Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in electronics from Warsaw University of Technology, in 1990, 1995 and 2004, respectively. He is Professor at Warsaw University of Technology, in the Telemedicine Group. His research interests include medical imaging, teleradiology, medical informatics, information theory, approximation theory, digital image processing, pattern recognition, data compression, image quality evaluation, and stochastic modeling of medical images. The main topic of recent interests are the effective medical image compression methods, in both reversible and lossy cases, computer aided diagnosis (mammography, 3D-US, brain CT), wavelet-based image approximants, diagnostic accuracy estimation of processed images.
