Main research topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>nuclear medicine;<\/li>\n<li>quantitative measurements in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI);<\/li>\n<li>dynamic imaging of physiological processes in CT and MRI;<\/li>\n<li>process tomography in the field of electric capacitance tomography;<\/li>\n<li>magnetic resonance imaging equipment, coils and signal processing;<\/li>\n<li>radiography, both conventional and digital;<\/li>\n<li>medical image processing and recognition;<\/li>\n<li>methodology of measurements and design of hardware for measurements of bio-potentials &#8211; EEG, EMG, ECG, high resolution ECG;<\/li>\n<li>medical applications of radioisotope techniques;<\/li>\n<li>biomedical accelerators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In the field of nuclear techniques our research includes previously mentioned medical applications, but we are also conducting research in other fields:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ire.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/zejim\/nd280eventdisplay.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5470\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ire.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/zejim\/nd280eventdisplay-300x127.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ire.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/zejim\/nd280eventdisplay-300x127.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ire.pw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/zejim\/nd280eventdisplay.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"Font8pt\">design of equipment and software for high energy physics experiments (notably, design of light detectors and their signal processing chains),<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Font8pt\">techniques of detection of ionizing radiation,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Font8pt\">spectroscopy of of ionizing radiation in medical and industrial applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Management<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Head of Division : <a href=\"mailto:W.Smolik@ire.pw.edu.pl\">Waldemar Smolik, D.Sc., prof.
